What happens?

Soo. I am going out of country and coming back with a new passport ( 5 weeks later)
My BOWP has the old passport no and it's valid till next year July.
What will happen when I re-enter Canada?
Will i have to declare and update it at the airport?
Will I be able to continue working even with my cancelled passport no on the BOWP?
Has anyone been in a similar situation?

I think it should be ok because your new passport will have your old passport number.
So carry both with and it should be fine. I'm did the same.

Also, make sure that you have a re-entry visa if you are not from visa-exempt country.
