Hello,
What happens in circumstances if main applicant not able to fulfill 3 year stay requirement of staying in Canada? How does this impacts PR status of dependent.

The background of this question: Me and my spouse going through tough time. I am PA and we both got PR card. It may happens we might get separated or divorce. If so happens, what will be the status of my spouse PR iF we get divorced and I don’t live in Canada for 3 years.?
Thanks in advance

Dependent can keep their PR status as long as they meet the residency requirement.

You and your spouse are completely independent with respect to your immigration status. There is no codependency.
