What will happen if someone's passport, which has got Canada's PR visa stamp, is lost or stolen? Does canadian High commission issue the same visa with the same deadline again or no more issuance? If they issue it again how much they will charge and what's the procedure?

cheers.

Ha ha ha it is a quite impressive response.Do you actually know the answer of my question? The area, where I am currently living in the UK, is not safe at all. Burglary is very common here. There are too many illegal people, who like to steal passport, are living in this area. I am not immediately immigrating to Canada. I will immigrate before the visa has run out. I have asked for exceptional case.

I will appreciate your positive response.

Thanks.

Rakhi.

Contact With CHC London As soon as possible by Visit, also write email with your passport detail, also make a complaint in police as soon as possible so no body can use ure passport, As soon as possible try to visit canadian Embassy,

i am sorry to say but i have never ever seen such kind a nonsense before. you know the area is not safe and you are waiting for burglars to come and steal your passport. have you told someone already??? why don't you keep in a bank locker or some place which is safe.

piece of advise for you
to be safe just put a notice on your door that i have got my prr and i am keeping my passport in my house and please don't steal????

First, you should make formal police complaint.
Then write to P/p office about loss of p/p & enclose the copy of police report.
Write Canada authorities about loss of p/p & enclose copy of police report + copy of letter submitted to p/p office.

Apply for your new p/p
Start collecting information on how to get visa again on p/p
Once you get the p/p, apply for re stamping of visa

You should be able to get same visa again, as your (p/p) visa is lost and not right to PR.

You are a real gentleman. I am worried because I have read somewhere it clearly says no replacement visa. Likewise, a friend of mine lost IELTS result, he was unable to retrieve the result a second time. For some reason I have asked this question.

Many thanks.

Now a serious answer. As soon as u get ur passport with pr visa photo copy it and keep many copies with u. If u by bad luck lose ur passport or it gets stolen report it to police and get a complaint copy.
Next visit a Canadian consulate along with the complaint letter plus photo copy of pr visa and rest they will take care if u r lucky.

Is this a relevant post on this forum? Its a personal one for which u need to use ur brains and tackle the same.

Please read ur own posts before u point ur finger towards others.

sorry Rakhi but i dont even know any place in UK which is that unsafe. Even the far and dark villages of scotland aren't that unsafe. It hasn't been stolen and there is already a post abt it. Best thing you can do is to carrry passport with you wherever you go. I haven't known any of these things happening on a large scale before here in UK.
