Does anybody have experience of this?

The doctor I engaged to prepare an additional medical report for me has been dragging his heels in getting that report to my DMP and the 90 day deadline given by CIC is approaching fast. I have pretty much resigned myself to the fact that things aren't going to happen quickly enough for that deadline to be met now.

We have sponsor approval and my visa office is London. I currently have an application being processed by MICC for my CSQ. But I am clearly not going to get the medical report in on time. I believe it needs to be in London by Tuesday.

Any insights?

And does anybody have any suggestions as to what I can do about this as far as CIC are concerned. Obviously I've been chasing the doctor and will continue to do so but is there perhaps any way I can buy time with CIC?

yes u can send an email to London VO and ask for extension; explain the situation (like u said here) and show also some proofs (if u have) with the steps u took and at what point u reached; considering that it's medical things i'm not sure how much u can prove without the doctor report so just say that it is still in process and kindly ask for more time; maybe they will give u 30-60 days;

it's better to ask this as soon as possible, before the deadline passes

of course ppl should not abuse this way but if the embassy sees that u try, u show proof that u try (and maybe some things don't depend only on u) and u r in touch with them they won't just close ur file; i did read of ppl doing like that and it worked

congrats on ur sponsor approval and also congrats in advance for the CSQ ;) (it will come soon ;) ) for the rest i'll tell u later....good luck and best of health!!

Thank you so much for the reassurance. :)

I figure it can't hurt to try for an extension of the deadline, even if it isn't granted. I've done the case-specific email now to London and also to Nairobi where the medical furtherance letter seemed to originate, and I attached copies of my medical bills and correspondence I've had showing that things are underway and that I'm trying to get things moving. Fingers crossed they will be understanding and let me have a little more time.

Thanks again.

no problem Deficient hope they will give u a prompt reply and b understanding :) let me know if it worked; good luck!! :)
