What happen to my TRV while waiting for my work permit extension?

Hi guys,

My work permit and my TRV will expire at the same time on 8 May 2019. I am applying BOWP to extend my stay. Not very sure what do I supposed to do on my TRV. Do I need to wait for the result of my BOWP then apply TRV or do I need apply TRV at the same time?

Bowp allows you to work in canada while your pr application is being processed.

Trv allows you to re enter canada if you go outside canada and want to return.
