What first - Passport reissue or PR application

Hello guys,
My Indian passport is expiring July-2015. I am planing to apply for CEC PR application and new passport both next month -July 2014.
How if I apply PR with old passport and once I received new one I'll update CIC about it ? or I should wait until getting new passport, However I am already very late to apply PR, Do not want to delay.

Please provide your valuable experience and advise.

Apply for the PR with the old passport. After you receive your AOR and your file is being processed - you will be able to mail CIC copies of the new passport with a cover letter.

So dont wait, apply for PR with the old passport. Its okay if the passport number is different in the new passport.
