Hello everyone,

I am sending my inland PR application on Monday and even though its not in the mail yet, I`m already worried sick and nervous in fear of that I putted somewhere accidently a wrong date or ticket the wrong answer on a form (though I checked everything multiple times and it all seems o.k.), the thing that scares me is the answer about the employment dates (on OWP, background check forms). Like I mentioned in a previous post, I`m not sure about the exact employment dates in that one company, so I putted approximate dates (since its not possible to get the right dates). I am scared that CIC could see that as misinterpretation. My question is, when exactly considers CIC something as `misinterpretation` ? I searched here on the forum on that topic and mainly what I could find under misinterpretation was when someone had a misinterpreted martial status or did not mentioned dependents in the application. Does CIC consider something easy as misinterpretation ? thank you in advance for shedding light on my question.

I couldn't remember the exact dates on my employment either. I just put an estimate. My PR went through fine. They are more worried about validity of your relationship so don't work yourself up too much.

Misrepresentation is more serious, just simply outright lies. ex) Saying you've never been married before, but you were. Saying you've never had kids, but you did. etc

Forgetting the exact dates of employment and residential addresses and making a guess is understandable and not misrepresentation.

"Forgetting" that you have a wife or a dependent child or forgetting that you have been convicted of a crime is not understandable.

oh!! I couldn't remember all the exact dates off all our addresses we lived at for the past 10 years!! I just put the best we could remember...and added a Note to say that These dates may not be 100% acurate but they are aproximate and to the best of our knowledge. I think they are more woried about flat out LYING...about meing married...being convicted....stuff like that...

What about putting you’re unemployed while working illegally for over 2 years. Would that be misinterpretation ?

How serious of consequences person would have to face? Keep in mind he only recently received his PR and is currently out of the country
Working illegally for 2 years is pretty serious intentional misrepresentation. They could lose their PR if IRCC investigates it.
