I've just tried to log into eCAS for the first time and this message has greeted me:

****MY FULL NAME*****

If you want to see the details of an application, click on the underlined status.

Please remove the ability for me or anyone else to view the status of my application on this Web site.
Note: Once you withdraw your consent, your application status will no longer be available on the Internet. Learn about other ways of receiving information about the processing and status of your application by contacting us.

There is a check box and a submit button. But I don't want to be unable to view my status. What's happened?!

Nothing. This is a standard message, everyone sees it. It simply provides for people who do not wish to see their status online, or allow anyone else to see it either, to submit a request to CIC to block access to their records.

If you want to continue accessing your application status online, simply ignore it.

P.S Congratulations on finally being approved! I think you booted me off my pedestal for longest time to sponsor approval. :P Not sure we couldn't both have done without that title!

CharlieD, it took you close to three months to get sponsorship appproval??!! :o

And here I was b1tching about not hearing anything within 70 days of filing my app!! Jeesh!

We must be whining babies, aren't we? LoL

LOL, Aneyshar, yes, it took us 81 days to be sponsor approved.

I don't think you guys are whining, I remember the anxiety I felt as time went by and we waited for word we had been approved. In our case, it was perhaps just a little worse because the timeline back then was 28-30 days!

You may find that this front-loaded wait at CPC-M reduces your processing time at your visa office. I don't know that for certain, I am really just hoping that there is some method to this delay madness that has not been adequately explained to us applicants. I mean, it is only our lives they have on hold there, right, it's not like we need any information on this process or anything. ::)

I think you may have a point about the quicker times because if there is only a trickle of sponsor approvals coming out of Miss then the VO's they then go to in theory shouldnt have much of a backlog. but im prolly completly wrong :P

Hey Charlie,

I am unable to proceed further unless I check the box and press proceed. If I try and click 'submit' without checking the box an error message pops up saying information has not been provided or something. The thing is, in order to view my application I have to check on the 'link below' as it puts it, but the only thing to check on is the box that will disable me from being able to view my application status online. I'm so confused?! Am I doing something wrong?

To add further, it reads after my full name If you want to see the details of an application, click on the underlined status. There is no underlined status, just a box to check to disable me from seeing my status. Does the system not have my full information yet? Sounds like something is missing from the page.

In other words, you are not seeing a line that looks like this:

Sponsored Person Sponsorship Application Status Permanent Residence Application Status
XXXX Decision Made Application Received

Is that correct?

My husband's looked just like this at the beginning (i.e. there was no underlined status to click on). So I think this is perfectly normal.

No Charlie, it looks like this:

****MY FULL NAME*****

Thanks scylla, thats makes me feel a bit better. ;) Hopefully, it will be updated on Tuesday.

Thanks for all of your replies, eCAS is now showing our status properly. I'm so glad things are finally moving. Will it show under Permanent Residence Application when London receives our file? Thanks so much again!

That means your electronic file has been fully updated. Yes, when London receives and uploads the file, you will see information appearing under Permanent Residence Application.
