Don't think he wanted to know what RCMP stands for :)
But in case, it stands for Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Here's instructions on how to get RCMP fingerprints done
>> http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm

It's a popular myth that you have to send an RCMP check with your application.

If they need it they will ask.

Out of interest - do we have any statistics on the percentage of applicants who are asked?

So i need to simply go to police station and ask them for RCMP for immigration.
The site doesnot show any online forms.
Is all forms given in police station. What exactly should i ask them. What will be the processing time and how much do they charge?

Help will be appreciated

Thanks alot.

I think fingerprint agencies are faster compared to Police station. Google for accredited finger scanning agencies. If you are in Toronto then let me know I will give you address where I did it. I received report in 1.5 week.

Where in Saskatchewan are you? Save time and go to a fingerprinting service, and not the police station.

More over if you dont mind can you answer cleary.I am bit confused. What exactly should i ask them after going to office.

There is a Commissionaires in Saskatoon:
https://www.commissionaires.ca/en/office/saskatoon-idylwyld-drive-north

Call them and schedule an appointment for an RCMP clearance check. They ask you to come in, and take your fingerprints digitally, send them to RCMP, and you get a clearance either sent directly to CIC or have it mailed to your address. You can then send it to CIC yourself.

check this website https://www.commissionaires.ca/en/offices. They have an office in Saskatoon. I went to them in Toronto. When you go there, you tell them that you are applying for PR and need to get finger printing and criminal checks done. They charged me around 39 dollars. It take around 10 days to receive the results by post at your address. Good luck.

The RCMP clearance check is just a police check for Canada. It can take weeks to do it from a police station and is cumbersome, but with the digital fingerprinting service, it can be done within a week.

When you call, you can ask what you need to bring with you for identification.

Here in Toronto, you can walk in directly. No need of appointment. I carried my passport with me. That's all was required.

These police forces in Saskatchewan do the check:

Carlyle RCMP
Humboldt RCMP
Kindersley RCMP
Meadow Lake RCMP
North Battleford RCMP
Prince Albert RCMP
Regina Police Service
Saskatoon Police Service
Saskatoon RCMP
Swift Current RCMP
Yorkton RCMP

if you are not a resident of one of these areas then you need to go to a private agency.

So i need to ask them that i need a rcmp done for permanent residence. It include only finger printing.Does it also inlude criminal record check.
