What does medical UPFRONT means??

Hi, can someone tel me what medical upfront means, I see lots of people saying I done medical upfront.

I means getting the medical before you apply.

I already applied 4 months ago through Paper based application Provincial nomination. So if I already applied I have to wait until CIC send me medical request?

That is what it states.

it means you can do the medical exam before the official medical request. the medical exam only valid for 12months, so you could do it when your processing time less than 12 months.
