What does Gap in Personal History mean?

In Personal History it says "Dont leave any Gaps", it's not very clear what "Gap" is for them?


As it is right, like this:

February 2015 - May 2016 - Employed
June 2014 - January 2015 - Employed
July 2013 - May 2014 - Study

Or like this:

February 2015 - May 2016 - Employed
January 2015 - February 2015 - Unemployed
June 2014 - January 2015 - Employed
May 2014 - June 2014 - Unemployed
July 2013 - May 2014 - Study

Go with the second option. There shouldn't be any gap in the timeline
