What documents you need for SIN?

Hello Friends,

I have a PR for Canada and planning to move there in a few months from USA. Before moving I wanted get my SIN. So for SIN what documents do you need? Will they post the SIN to my USA Address? What other documents do you need before moving there?

Did you Google the answer ? If you already landed you could have turned up at a Service Canada office with your COPR and been issued one on the spot.

In common with other immigration or government departments unlikely they will mail anything to a US address.

you need your passport and copr for apply SIN , I think it is not possible to apply for SIN without your physical appearance . SIN provide after immigration formalities .

You need to complete your landing and have your COPR stamped/processed. Only then you can use it to get SIN (Also, passport required). You will also need a Canadian address (Address belonging to friends or family will work; PO Box is not acceptable)
