What documents to attach for co-op workpermit

Hi Guys,

can anyone let me know what all documents need to be sent for co-op work permit application?
Do we need to attach a copy of study permit or just the passport and visa copy?

I have recently applied for a co-op work permit online and received it in December. All I had to do is fill out an application form (link is found in the required documents), upload my passport, digital photo and a letter from my co-op coordinator saying that the work placement is an essential part of my studies. However, you should get the checklist before attaching your documents.

Hi,

You don't need to attach your study permit but a "Letter of Explanation" from your institute is compulsory stating that co-op is an essential part of your studies and the time period required.

Other than that, you can upload a file of MAX size 4 MB, so putting a scanned copy of your study permit (as the requirement is that u must have a valid study permit) and passport bio data and all other stamped pages in the file named "Travel Documents" wont matter much. Its always better to be on the secure side.

The processing time is 14 working days.
