What documents need to be notarized?

Hi all,

I am recently viewing threads on this forum but I am deeply confused by the document list that need to be notarized.

My checklist does not explicitly tell me which file need to be notarized. Instead it only said "provide a clear and legible copy"

Some people on the forum mentioned that all photocopies should be notarized. If so, since we upload scanned copies, does that mean every file I submit should be notarized?

On the contrary, other people said that only files that originally are not in English or French should be notarized.

What strategy should I take here?

Every photocopy should be notarized. Every document not in English and French should also be translated. If the document is in English or French you can just upload a scan without notarization.

Seems that I was confused by the term photocopy. Is the scanned copy of the original document considered a photocopy?
