What documents and Proof of I need for Canada

I am Planning to land in Canada in first week of January 2016

1.I have Passport ( Visa)

2. COPR letter

My query is mainly regarding the Proof of funds? If so, in what format
should i carry ?? - Traveler cheque( TC)( in Canadian $) or Demand Draft(DD) ( Canadian $) or Cash ???
which one is better as i have to open my account after Reached there .

If you are carrying huge amount of money, better apply for a bank draft from your bank and should be in Canadian $. Some banks in Canada already have a program for newcomer/immigrants and better check with them too (send email to them). You might want to carry also a Canadian $ cash for you to spend for the first few weeks. clearance of your bank draft may take 1 to 2 weeks once you deposited in your desired bank after arrival.
