what document is 'proof that you can support yourself ' at POE?

It is stated in the CIC website, that at POE to bring along proof that you have enough money to support yourself. I wanted to know what document should I bring along? bank statements?

Bro my cousin left for Canada two weeks ago,, they didn't ask him for any financial proof,, but still it is good to have latest bank statement of last 4 months with u,,, did u get it LOA?

You should carry a financial proof with you, they will ask you as they did to me and i showed them a bank statement.
