I am sponsoring my husband. On the financial evaluation sheet number 8 says Minimum necessary income. What do I write for that? And do I fill in the total income available to sponsor which is question 9? We are living in the US and I'm a stay at home mom while my husband works. I know sponsoring your spouse you are exempt from the necessary income but what do I write in these boxes? thanks alot. Our medical and FBI check is done and gotten back...just need to fill in a little bit more and supporting documents and going to be done!

There is no MNI for sponsoring a spouse only. You don't need to fill in that form.

Should I just write N/A? thanks.

You just shred the form :P

But really you don't need that entire form so it can honestly be thrown out.

Do you mean I don't need the entire financial evaluation forms? which is 6 pages long? I could just toss that out? that would make things easier if so.

That is correct, spousal applicants are NOT required to complete that form.

Thanks. I was just curious how you know so much info about immigration....I saw you are applying too. It is great that you do, just wondering how you know so much...I definitely need help from people like you, lol.

Spent about 5 months here, reading, asking questions and getting suggestions from others to prepare our application. Then I got interested in the whole process, so I read posts by people like rjessome, Leon and PMM every time they posted, no matter what it was about. Then I expanded to reading immigration appeal cases on the Canadian Legal Information Institute's (CanLII) website. Been doing all this for over a year now, so here I am, LOL.

That is wonderful and you've helped me alot! I remember coming on here months ago scared that I couldn't sponsor cause I have no income, but you and other people helped resolved alot of my fears and confusion, lol. So thankyou so much!

No problem. :) I just pass on what was given to me. There are plenty of people around, especially those who have already been there and done that, who stick around to help others along.

Someone is telling me I need the option C handout. I thought I had asked that qyestion before and everyone said I didn't need it. I am in the US...I on't have an income, only my spouse. What do i write on the option C handout? I was going to send in our recent tax info. Can you shed some light on that? I haven't paid canadian taxes for a decade now.

OK I called Revenue Canada just now and they said they can't send me the 2010 or 2011 since I didn't file taxes...they will send my most recent filed with Canada which is 2000. I will send my 2011 US taxes.
