What do I do with Confirmation of Permanent Residence documemnts?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what I now do with the Confirmation of Permanent Residence I received by post (which is a great relief.)

I am IN Canada on an extended Visitors visa and now have Confirmation of Permanent Residence docs.

Do I just go to the border with my documents and passport?

Yes you need to Exit and Enter again in Canada. You can go to nearest border crossing with your Passport and COPR...

Depending upon where you are living in Canada, travel to nearest US/Canada border and tell US Border Officer that you have land back in Canada as Permanent Resident and you will not be entering into USA.So he will guide you to a point on the bridge where you will be taking U-Turn back onto Canada Border Bridge.That way you it will be like you are travelling from USA and entering into Canada...Once you are with Canadian Officer tell him that you will be landing as PR and he will take care of the rest i.e paper work and all other stuff to make sure you land as PR.....Good luck..
