What Comes with the PPR?

Just a quick question...

After you get your passport request, what do they send back? the passport + the visa? how is that visa? I heard something about "the magic sticker" or something like that?

I also need to know if there is any problem if I travel with a different passport (new one) and also show the one that I sent to the Visa office (the one with the visa?) because that one its about to expire in 3 months.

After PPR what is returned (successful application) is usually a package containing:
- passports with the immigrant visa counterfoil affixed to a page. This is popularly known as the "magic sticker"
- CoPRs - a legal-sized document with your pictures - one CoPR for each applicant and dependents
- additional instructions in letters, phamplets etc., for landing procedures and other post-application instructions
