What can I do with AOR? BOWP?

Hi there,
I am just wonderning, I got my ITA on March 20, I answered and upload all documents on April 17, I got a "application confirmation letter with bar code" from CIC at the same day.

Is that the AOR letter for applying BOWP?
And my work permit is expiring in few weeks, when is the best time to submit my BOWP application? Apply online or by mail is good?

you can apply through online

Login to your CIC my page (GC Key)
click the Icon "Visitor visa, study and/ or work permit"
then follow the instruction

Note: don't forget to upload your AOR PDF file when you are submitting the BOWP online application in the letter of explanation

But my consultant just told me as below, Express Entry is pretty new. They are not sure can we apply BOWP by EE AOR. The AOR we recieved is automatically sent by CIC EE system, it haven't be confirmed and finalized.

I am confused and do not know what am I suppose to do.

You are right, i accept your point, i have applied my Bowp on march 18th still no update, they will take more than 3 month, you said you have only few weeks...........

But once you submitted your BOWP application before WP expiring, even your work permit expired at the mean time. You are still legally worker until you got the result.
