Hi Merwyn,
Can u tell me please where did u get this?....

In cases where a
student has obtained a one year degree or diploma from
an accredited educational institution within two years of
having successfully completed a previous accredited
Canadian post-secondary degree or diploma, he or she
may qualify for a three-year open work permit.

Can u give me the link.
Thnx

Here is something similar:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op12-eng.pdf - page 29 said:
Exception: Students holding a one-year graduate degree from a provincially accredited post-secondary educational institution in Canada (pursued full-time) after having obtained, within the prior two years, a degree or diploma from an accredited post-secondary educational/training institution will qualify for a three year work permit. This exception also applies to students who have left Canada temporarily between the graduations.

Example: A student who obtained a one-year MBA from a provincially accredited post-secondary institution in Canada after having obtained a one year university diploma, no more than two years before obtaining the MBA, would be allowed to cumulate both degrees and therefore to get a three year PGWP.

Hello.
I am an international student from India who wants to pursue Masters in Human Resource’s from Canada. Is it feasible to do a Masters rather than an MBA because MBA is going out of my budget and most of them require a GMAT and relevant work experience. Also if I go for a one year Program how do I extend my work permit as I have read that only for a 2 year program I can get a 3 Years work permit.

Hlo,
I am facing the same situation. I'm going for one year graduate HRM course. And still worried about my next one year course which is business administration and will I able to get 3 year work permit after 1+1 year program. It's really confusing because some students got 3 year work permit whereas I came to know that some students got only 2 year or 11 months work permit. I'm so confused and worried
