There used to be a 183 day rule for citizenship but that was I believe dropped last year. As above no such rule for PR card renewal only the 2 out of 5 rule.

Actually the 183 day rule was in the previous Act prior to 2002 when you could not be outside Canada for more than 183 days in a year with the "intention to abandon your PR status"
