What are "good" reasons to extend visitor visa

Hi,

I wish to extend my visitor visa while my PR application is being processed. I would like it to work, and I wonder whether the reason I just gave (awaiting PR application to go through) is one that is considered a 'good' reason or a 'bad' (could get your extension rejected type of reason) one.

If the latter, what would qualify as a good reason is your opinion?

Every reason is good or bad as its supporting documents and the specifics of each case.
