What after Application Approved Passport requested?

Applied Online on August 27, 2018. Eligibility Review started: August 31, 2018.
Today September 03, 2018, My application was approved and got the passport request message.

I want to submit my passport at VFS, Chandigarh. Do I need to book an appointment to visit VFS or I can just walk in with my passport and PP request letter. After how many days VFS will return my passport?

I got the passport approval message today (september 3, 2018) at 9:30 AM india time. but date on my passport request is September 2, 2018. I have applied online, and request letter doesn't mention which visa office processed my application.
I am planning to submit my passport at VFS Chandigarh, India
