What’s the difference between BOWP and ..?

I’m still new to the forums and have learned a lot that some gets overwhelming. My wife had applied for OWP (not yet approved) but I’ve been reading a lot about BOWP. What’s the difference? Does BOWP mean she can get a job in Canada related with her job in USA? (Ie: health information management) Thanks for your help.

We need more information. On what basis has your wife applied for an OWP? Where is your wife right now? What's your status in Canada?

OWPs and BOWPs are two completely different things and only certain people qualify for each.

She’s staying with me in Canada and has visitor visa that expires this April. OWP for her is to find any job once she gets it. We’ve sent in apps end of Dec 2017, no AOR yet.

She doesn't qualify for a BOWP. BOWPs are for people who already hold a closed work permit in Canada and have applied for PR through an economic immigration stream like Express Entry.
