WES Evaluation not provided even after 20 business days

Hi,

I had submitted a WES evaluation for me and my husband.

paid the fees on 23rd nov 2016
document delivered - 29th nov 2016
status update on WES account to "Documents received - Review in Progress" on 5th December 2016
Status update to evaluation in progress on 15th december.

Still we have not received ECA.

Any idea by when we can get our ECA.
we have tried dropping questions but no response. no one responds on their call center.

we have a score of 466 and already missed this draw . do not want to miss the next one.

WES is quite delayed. I have a score of 477 but can't enter the pool as we are waiting for my wife's WES evaluation. The 20 business days begins from the time evaluation begins. 20 business days would be 28 days in total if you include Saturday and Sunday. There have been several holidays like Christmas, new year and Boxing Day and the extra holidays as Christmas and new year fell on a Sunday.

This is the 5th case I am getting to know where WES sent and ECA report never reached.

Something is definitely wrong with WES!!

Status changing to evaluation in progress does not mean completion. In our case, it took 38 calendar days to receive our ECA by email and the hard copies arrived a week or so later. This was for normal post. YOu have the reference number in the PDF and can submit your EE using that.

WES is rubbish. They don't adhere to their timelines and in some cases they do evaluations wrong too!

I've done mine almost two years ago and even then I waited for more than 20 days to receive the report. It was closer to 35 days.

Oh, so i should count 20 business days from the date when status changed to "evaluation in progress".
I dont know if the Cut would be this low going forward.

The only thing preventing me from entering the pool is WES. I have a birthday next month and would lose 5 points. I really hope WES speeds up. I expected delays due to the holidays but I would expect them to be back with a bang now. I read mostly negative reviews about WES but I chose WES as everyone I know who got their PR chose WES and that is the top choice. I would not recommend WES but then again I have not tried the other options.

An advice for all future Express Entry candidates is to avoid WES like the plague. They take forever to give you your assessment. I got my degrees evaluated by ICES and got the result within 10 days. My friend also got his degrees evaluated by ICES within 10 days.

I second this!

WES sucks!!
Three of my friends didn't get their ECA sent by WES, till date. They had to pay extra to get duplicate soft copy, I hope duplicates are acceptable too..

What can I do to speed up the process of evaluation? I have already paid and sent all the documents for myself and my wife.

WES support is rubbish.
They do not even have an email ID to send any supporting documents if you want to appeal.
They take anywhere between 20 to 35 days to give an ECA.
They dont have a proper appeal process except send them a form message.
Their form message response is patchy.
Calls to them takes 40 minutes to be answered.
Once they answer, they really have nothing much to say.
They give wrong evaluations sometimes.

Overall its a pile of garbage. Try the others like ICES or IQAS or CES.

I have emailed them and received generic responses in bad English. When I called, I was placed on hold for and hung up after 30 minutes. They don't even have a fast track option. If I get the PDF evaluation, I'm good to enter the pool. I have opted for standard delivery so let the report come whenever it has to. I can always upload the PDF version of it. But even that is taking ages. Sorry for the rant but they are just too slow.
