Hi,

My wife completed her ECA from WES, and this is the result in her report:

CANADIAN EQUIVALENCY SUMMARY

Diploma (two years) from a non-recognized institution

CREDENTIAL ANALYSIS

1. Credential Authentication: Official transcripts were sent directly by the institution

Country: United Kingdom

Credential: Higher National Diploma

Year: 2005

Awarded by: Cambridge Regional College

Institution Status: Not Recognized

Major/Specialization: Executive Personal Assistant

Canadian Equivalency: Diploma (two years) from a non-recognized institution

I'm not sure if that will be accepted though if we apply for PR. I have not been to find any detailed information on whether the status has to be recognized or not, except this:
The ECA report must show that your completed foreign credential (degree, diploma or certificate) is equal to a completed Canadian secondary school (high school) or post-secondary credential. (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp)

Any input from some senior members, that might help us out?

'Recognised' or not won't be an issue as long as you choose the appropriate option in your EE profile as per the WES Canadian equivalent report.

Thanks for the reply!
Choosing the option does not worry me, it's fairly straight forward: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp

Two-year degree, diploma or certificate from a program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute
ECA assessment results:

College Diploma
College Diploma (two years)
Diploma (two years) --> This would be my option per ECA report
Two-year diploma
Two-year diploma in [name of discipline]
Secondary school diploma and diploma (two years)
Associate Degree
Associate of [Arts/Science] degree
Post-secondary Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Two-year post-secondary Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
Two-year associate degree

It's the fact that I can't find anything that clearly and explicitly states what I'm looking for on cic website, that makes me wonder..

Bump here..
I could really use some input from other senior members.

@CanadaWeCome, could you provide some sort of proof of your source for the advice/input?
Personal experience, IRCC website, calculated guess?

I am doing a google search for info as well. Came across this and thought it was relevant.

Interesting..

I have also come across this: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/partner/csp-003.asp#a6.2.1
