make sure you do not have to go outside the airport or through border control,
if the connecting flight within the same airport, you will not be asked for visa

please check the below URL

www . gov . uk/check-uk-visa

"Exemptions

You won't need a visa if you:

are travelling to Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA and have a valid visa for that country
are travelling from Australia, Canada, New Zealand or the USA and it's less than 6 months since you last entered that country with a valid entry visa
have a valid US permanent residence card issued on or after 21 April 1998 (or an I-797 extension letter issued by the Bureau of Citizenship if it's expired)
have a valid Canadian permanent resident card issued on or after 28 June 2002
have a valid uniform format category D visa for entry to a state in the European Economic Area (EEA)
have a valid uniform format residence permit issued by an EEA state

Hi all,

I am planning to move to Calgary,I been in Toronto for 2 months with no luck on landing on a job,so I thought to give it a try in Calgary, my questiions are:

1- what is the cheapest flight from Toronto to Calgary, one way flight.

2- I have my PR card, will the immigration at Calgary airport ask or require any documents to show or why I am coming to Calgary.

3- I have a G2 driving license, but its a temporarily one still waiting for the Plastic card,so if I go to Calgary before recieving my plastic driving license can I switch it to Alberta driving license and what is the equivalent for G2 in alberta.

4-I applied for the OHIP health card and I will recieve it on July 12th,so if I go to calgary how soon can I apply for the Health Card in that province and if my relative mail me my OHIP card can I switch to Alberta health insurance right away without documents or waiting peroid.

5- I appreciate if someone can help me find a single furnished room in Calgary NE area, rent should include all utilities and most important is the internet connection .Maximum is 500$..

no body will ask u ne thing about PR card as you r taking a national flgt

I dnt know about G2 but in alberta we have Class 5 and class 5 GDL

Sir

I am sure that you do not need any transit visa for UK , while travelling to Canada

Stay Blessed

I second with msaeed on this. But if someone who's flying from India, has a gap of 5 hours for his connecting flight to canada from heathrow, can he see visitors at his departure terminal for some time, till he broads his next flight.

well in NE there is more crime and less clean if you need clean and safe the best bet will be NW

We lived in calgary for almost 10 years
Calgary is big and there are clean and nice areas in the north east.
Especially for newcomers you will find cheaper places to rent in the north east.
We lived in coral springs and coventry hills both nice areas and not dirty at all

yes my choice is calgary,,,

hopefuly by next year i will be moving if everything goes well.
