Dear all

i sent webform for urgent processing for my citizenship application on 3rd October 2022 and was waiting a reply from them

today is 24th october 2022, a reply received stating the following, kindly note that i mentioned in my case request for urgent processing, i wondering what does this mean the following reply from them


Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We can process applications for citizenship urgently insome cases.

If you feel that your situation may be considered urgent, we invite you to choose the type of application you would like to have processed urgently and follow the applicable instructions:

• Become a Canadian citizen (grant of citizenship)
• Get a Canadian citizenship certificate (proof of Canadian citizenship)
• Ask for a search* of citizenship records
• Resume* your Canadian citizenship
• Give up (renounce)* Canadian citizenship

An officer will evaluate your request and determine if the application can be processed on an urgent basis.

*If you have already submitted an application for a search of citizenship records, to resume or to renounce your Canadian citizenship, when filling out the Web form, please:

• Select:
  • Citizenship from the drop down menu underType of application/enquiry, and
  • Citizenship - Grant from the drop down menu under Type of application/enquiry (continued),
• Include a detailed description of the required updates in the free-text box located under Your enquiry

What's the emergency back in September? What's the urgent? Better to return to Canada via land border if you have US visa.

Just i wondering what is their reply means, shall i send the urgent request again or not, the response which i received from them looks like i have to submit urgent request again and this like playing games with me and wasting time it seems like they did not read
my request.
