We started processing your application on September 10, 2013. now how long???

Hi there; Thanks for reading my question. I appeared for Spouse Visa Interview on 10th September, 2013 at New Delhi, India. After interview had finished Immigration officer said I have "successfully passed eligibility criteria" and need to do "medical check again".

I checked my application status online after couple of days of interview and it says:

1. We received application for permanent residence on March 28, 2012.
2. We started processing application on September 10, 2013.
3. Interview is September 10, 2013.

My wife is Canadian Citizen and she lives in Canada and I reside in India. We made all payments in advance and submitted all documents.

My question is:

1. Should i wait for their email stating to do "Medical Check" again or should I do it on my own right away?
2. Could you please advise How long would it take after this? On what Stage my application process is and how many more stages would be there? Please explain.
3. does this mean if everything's in order, we should have a decision made very soon...?

If they have told you that you need to do your medical check then you need to do it ASAP. However, I think it's best if you email them with your case number and tell them that even though you were asked to redo the medical check be the interviewer you did not get a written request and you are puzzles as to do it or await written request from the VO

It is very difficult to predict in these matters. But if all goes well, it should not be too long.
