"We are processing your background check." - Is this an update or does it always say this?

Hey guys, I just recently linked my paper application to the online account. I noticed that under Background Check, it says the following:

"We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."

I'm wondering if this is an actual update or does it always say this? If this is an actual update, is this a good sign? Is this usually done at the end? I appreciate any insight/advice

I'm not sure what that is. This section is for family applications only, so you might be in the wrong part of the forum.

Not certain. I think it basically always says that, bit don't recall.

Yes it always says it. I have PPR and it still says it. I guess it might change at the end once Passport is stamped with COPR. Maybe I'm not sure. Someone with a stamped passport can chime in here.

Not many steps update to be honest. You'll get more changes once they request your medical or bio etc. That's it. GCKEY is a place to download your letters when they come in. That's all it was good for for me
