WCB and PR

Morning, everyone.
I have a question about WCB.
So my doctor thinks my back pain is from my work and recommended to claim under WCB.

Got the paper and showed to my employer and she said claiming WCB will affect my PR status.
Is it true? And if it is true why?

Or my employer just saying like that to make me not go through WCB?

Call CIC tomorrow early to make sure! My opinion is that your employer is lying so that you don't claim it, but at the same time he is the one who is supposed to give you your letter of reference, a single most important document in the CEC application, so don't piss him off too much. But I think he is bluffing. Definitely call CIC to ask.

Thanks. I actually got my aor, I know it doesn't mean I got my PR already.
But still needs employers' letter?

If you think your employer letter hits the nail on the head and is rock solid then go ahead and apply for WCB. Confirm with CIC as ukulele suggested. I am assuming since you got your AOR, you had already submitted the reference letter.

That's BS, WCB is your right as a work permit holder. Your PR application doesn't get affected in any sense.
