WAY OF WAGE PAYMENT

As per law, salary can be paid in cash, cheque or Direct Bank transfer etc..Both My lawyer and employer suggested that it is legal to get paid in cash if you're paying taxes properly. I never got my salary in the bank. I work for a very small firm.
I have all SALARY SLIPS and T4 statement though.

MY QUESTIONS ARE :
1. I want to apply under CEC . I wonder if CIC asks for bank statement as a proof of wage payment. IS there anybody here who got asked for a bank statement ?
will it be fine ?

No, not usually.

If it is legitimate, it should be OK. If there are other problems with your application, it may be questioned.
