I am not, I landed as a Study Permit holder, my PR remains in the works for now. But thanks for your kind wishes. They are reciprocated and come with a +1

Arica,

Do you think that the fact that your cases are forwarded to Warsaw, will laten cases initially processing by WVO?

To be very honest with you, I totally have no clue. It may be reasonable to manage files on 'first come-first served' basis. Although, according to staticstics kindly provided by Roman, it's not nesessirily the case with WVO.

My assumption is only based on the fact that, as per Spreadsheet, WVO is hardly the most efficient VO ::)

PS: Diplomatru, thanks alot.
Same +1 goes to you.

Well, I still believe they do process files on the 'first come - first served' basis. The point is the following steps are not linear as the process is very case specific with many factors affecting the timelines (e.g. overall case complexity, visa officer, background checks, random quality checks, etc.) This leads to completely different timings and makes it really hard to estimate how long it will take a particular application to undergo all the stages.

I have no doubt that they will process Indian apps within FIFO framework. A case officer can handle a limited amount of applications. Until he/she has an opening the file will remain in queue at the registry.

You are abosolutely right that they have very internal SOP algorithim of working and it is difficult to predict exact harmony in procedures and it widely differs from case to case.

Well, the fact that some early-2014 WVO applicants got their visa stamped already (as per Spreadsheet) supports that point of view as well.

Hey VishalRathi,
how come CIO sent your file to WVO??? They must be truly overwhelmed this year :(

I don't think WVO is authorised to process your file and it's most likely they will transfer it to NDVO for procession first. Only then you can expect your medical request.

It seems like all recent Indian apps are assigned to Warsaw.

I wonder how they're supposed to do the background check. There are always some region-specific nuances wich only local officers are familiar with.

Same way as LVO does checks for applicants from the Middle East.
