This part of process is extremely inconsistent. I never got my status changed until they contacted for my wife's copies of passport. When my wife sent the passport copies, all of a sudden the eCAS status changed to 'in process'. A week later they asked the passport for visa issuance. The eCAS status indicated the process had started as of May, but the actual status changed end of September. Go Figure!!! LOL

hmm hmmm whatever it is, I`m hopping for good...
Now it is just a confirmation that Office got our application, as many from the September thread got the same kind of update..
You got your PPR pretty fast ^_^ wish for the same kind of timeline, or less ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ With God`s help...

I also how for fast processing I check everyday to see if anyone on this forum got some good news. If you look at the Warsaw spreadsheet it looks like there are less people who applied and like they have been sleeping for a couple months I hope that some good news will come soon.. At least to show things are still moving in Warsaw!

I am starting to get a little impatient with the processing time..

I was taking a look at the spreadsheet,and if you look at applications submitted in April/May (Tunczyk, userpg,HeiLong) the average processing time was 148 days. Based on that average, there are several of us who's applications should have been approved by now! I was optimistically expecting to hear something by the end of the year, but I am sure now that it will not happen.

It just really feels like the entire Warsaw office has been on vacation for the past couple of months!

Based on that average, there are several of us who's applications should have been approved by now! I was optimistically expecting to hear something by the end of the year, but I am sure now that it will not happen.

It doesn't give me high hopes having just submitted our application :/
I was also hoping that the main VO processing times would have been updated this quarter for a better idea, but it didn't happen yet..

I've been checking for that to update as well.. I'm not sure why it is taking them so long to update it.. I will keep checking and let you know if I see an update

Yes say thanks to Trudeau and the Syrians for that... I noticed that the ones with very fast processing were usually Polish applicants (visa exempt) and living together already in Canada or anywhere else which probably put them on the top of their pile to be process faster... what's better as a proof than living together for months?

They usually do it early January and 3 or 4 times a year every 3-4 months but last time in end of July if I remember correctly they made mistakes about a lot of VO so they corrected it somewhere end of August and because of this I think they skept the last quarter (October) and decided to wait for next one.

That is a good point, my spouse and I aren't living together at the moment, but he is Polish! I just really hope that someone receives good news soon! Like I said, really seems as though the office has been closed for a couple months!

And I agree on Trudeau, I'm glad I didn't vote for him! He has promised to speed about the family sponsorship. Although it doesn't look like he has done anything so far!

Usually they communicate with several applicants at the same time.. I will keep you posted if I hear anything

Maybe some people will find it useful...
My arrival to Canada was very smooth. I arrived with my wife at Toronto airport on the 7th of December with 6 suitcases. They didn't check any of them. The CBSA officer asked me if I have something to declare and when I told him that we only have over 10 000 CAD cash said 'Welcome home'. My wife asked him if this is it? He replied with a smile on his face that he can check our suitcases if we really want to but this is it.
The next day I went to get a SIN number (the airport office was closed on the arrival day because we arrived around 10 pm), opened a bank account, applied for a credit card, found a condo within the next few days.
It was all very smooth and pleasant

That is useful! To get your SIN number, did you go to a Service Canada office? I plan on traveling back with my spouse from Poland when he eventually gets approved

I guess the other things to worry about would include :
- Your health card
- Permanent Resident card

Have you applied for these yet?

Hi.
Yes, I went to Service Canada to get my SIN. It took around 10 minutes. The officer told me that I will receive my PR card after 90 days.
I also applied for the health insurance. I will be covered exactly 3 months after my arrival day.

Yes, my wife and I have gone threw the process in Poland many times. She used to work in Poland so at the beginning she applied for a work visa (that was before we met), than she has got a temporary residence three times (I think each for 2 years).

Hello everyone! Little update.. I just noticed that the CIC page that usually would provide processing times per VO has changed. Now they just give what I would guess to be an average for all applicants all over the world, of 18 months.

Also, on this page it says the current processing time for SA is 10 days!!! Did all of our applications 50 days longer than they are now taking to do it ?!?

As well, I really wish they still had processing time per VO.. doesn't give you much information with an overall average.
