Hi
My girlfriend and I have been together for a almost 2,5 years living here in Denmark (she came from her home in Quebec to live here with me and therefore enrolled university and is taking a bachelor degree to be able to stay). Now with 2 years left we are contemplating what to do next. There might be a slight posibility for her to get a scholarship and do her masters here but we are also trying to figure out a way for me to return with her to Canada.
Now these possibilities are many but we need an expert's view on it (or somebody with experience in the field at least) as to figure out which way is the best way to get there.
We can go with the option of becoming common-law partners (we are both women), or I can attempt to go as a student but that requires for me to know what I would be studying (I am currently finishing the last year of my bachelor in English and music culture). 3rd option would be for me to go and try to find a job withing the 3 month term of regular tourist visa and then (once a job was found) apply for resident work permit.

I hope somebody here might be able to shed some light on this case and give some pointers as to which option to go with (which of the options we have will put us in the best position to get me accepted to go to Quebec)

thank you

The most straightforward way would be for her to sponsor you as her common-law partner. Do a good job of documenting your relationship with emails, proof of cohabitation, joint responsibility for bills/leases/utilities, etc.

Good luck.
