Hi, I've started an application for my Thai GF. Her first TRV in 2019 was successful and they issued a multiple entry TRV (Class = V-1) for 2+ years (to match the expiry of her passport). So not worried about getting her second TRV since her credentials are the same and she now has travel history, but my question on the app is whether to say "less than 6 mos" or "more than 6 months"? She will only be visiting for a week this year but I'm hoping they will grant her a TRV to match the expiry of her new passport (2032) as they did previously. I'm thinking I will say > 6 months and explain in the cover letter that she is applying for a V-1. Does this makes sense? There doesn't seem to be an option to ask for a V-1 multiple entry visa?
Thanks

You should answer "less than 6 months" since this is the duration of her intended visit. The question is about the duration of her visit, not the visa.

All applications are by default multiple entry applications. There's never been anywhere to specify that. The visa officer determines whether to issue a multiple or single entry.

OK thanks.
Regarding her biometrics - they have 6 yrs validity, so I gather her visa will be for 6 years (presuming she gets multiple entry). So probably not worth re-doing biometrics to get 4 more years. It was a bit of a pain for her as she had to take a day off work.
