I am a US citizen, my application for family sponsorship (husband is Canadian citizen) was received Aug 2016 but is currently sitting at "received", not "processing". We applied from inside Canada; I have never been issued a work or visitor permit (I stay home with our two young children).
So my question is this... I want to go back to the US for a friend's wedding, likely a long weekend type of visit this May. I am worried about re-entry into Canada. My passport is still valid, but the "if you need one" for eTA or work/study permits seem ambiguous. Does anyone have insight they can offer here?
