Want to order GCMS notes today. Couple Questions

Are these the new forms for GCMS (CAIPS) notes?

If so, do I select "Electronic files" and "Status of an application" ?? I simply want an email like last time with the notes.

I am also assuming the "File number" will be my husbands (the principal applicant) and the "Location" will be visa office of the country we are applying through ??

I know .. silly questions but I am so tired I can't think straight and I want to get them ordered ASAP!!

Btw....I have my signed release from my husband.

One more question.

Does the release have to be the original? The first time I ordered it asked for the original but this time it does not specify that.

Not that it matters I suppose... it says Decision Made on Ecas now ...but no one has contacted us yet So I imagine this will be the last time ordering them anyway.

From my understanding... no it does not... My hubby printed the form off the internet and signed it, then faxed it to me. I signed the faxed copy and mailed it in. I received that info from this forum and it seemed to be ok according to others on here.

No. I had the signed scanned copy from my wife and that is what I sent and after 3 weeks I received the electronic file.

haha oh well. I made him send me the original because just a couple months ago they required it =P

You will choose Access to Information Act.

You are NOT requesting information on your behalf so you need the consent to release information signed by your wife. You can use just a copy now apparently.

Yes, you will need to pay the fee online and print out a receipt and send it with the other papers.

Yes, your wife's visa office and her client ID are needed.

Mark - if your the canadian, and your wife is the foreigner... then you are requesting on her behalf... you do need to fill out the privacy act form, which your wife will also need to sign. Yes you will pay the $5. Location is ex. High Commission of Canada; London, England...
