Hi All, I am a 38yr old Small Business(Courier) owner in Ireland for the last 4 years . Previously I was a top Sales performer and later sales manager of One of Irelands biggest car dealerships. I have worked in sales since I was 18 but I dont have any written qualifications except for Resume/References and I completed high school. I am desperate to move to Saskatoon as I have become dissillusioned with Ireland and dont see a great future here, I would like to settle in Canada and start my own family. I have a common law partner( we plan to marry) and she has an 8yr old Boy who I am father to in all bar blood. Can anyone advise my best direction to take from here, I am prepared to get a long haul trucker licence if it helps to fulfill my dream. I presently have 2 nephews in Ontario one of whom is a Canadian Citizen( born Toronto but lived in Ireland for 19 of his 21 yrs).
Thank you for taking the time to read this and heres to hope!
Regards,
John Mc.

There is a separate part on the Forum for business immigration if you own your own business In Ireland.
If you look at the Index of posts by Qorax it should tell you all you need to know as well as looking at the Canadian Immigration website www.cic.gc.ca
Where you at the Working Abroad Expo in Dublin?

sad to say that with no Academic Education after High School/College/University/TradeShool and no Diploma/Bachelors , you will not be able to qualify for FSW category. I wouldnt move from Ireland. Irish people are considered as one of the best in this world. May be you can move to France/Germany where economy is still much better

Hi irishjohn,

Do you have family members who are settled in Sask? If so, you may qualify under Sask provincial nomination programme.

PS: I believe the work abroad expo is moving to Cork this weekend, worth dropping in if you have the time.

All the best.
