Want to file Divorce on Student Status!!

Hi everyone,

i am an international student in canada, but things between me & my husband hasnt worked out as I am being into an abusive marriage since 5 years. The things is his sowp is in process. can i file for legal separation in canada once his passport is stamped for visa, or he needs to be here in canada for the the process?? if any one can tell whats the procedure it will be helpful thanks, because If i go back things are going to worsen out he can do anything against me back in India.. positive replies are appreciated..

if your relationship is breaking down, I don't think you should continue to apply for SOWP.
