i am going to stay in canada for the first semester (JAN 2020) than i will be going back to india so can anyone tell me how can i cancel mt study permit

Once you withdraw from your program, it will automatically be invalidated, you don't have to cancel anything. Your TRV will still be valid.

You dont need to cancel permit, GIC refunds depend on the bank rules so talk to them how to get refund.

You will have to contact the bank and ask them how you can cancel the GIC, if that is possible.

Did you already got the study permit itself or just the approval letter? the actual permit is issued at the Port of Entry (airport) upon arrival. So if it's just the letter you have I don't think you need to do anything but not show up to study.

oh well i guess you can seek advice from the institution's (college or university) international student office just to be sure

Yes, but the exact process depends on bank you can easily google this info. If you are just studying for a month or 2 why not cancel the whole thing?, you can probably get fees refund as well.

I have 5 year study permit till 2023 but I have returned to India and dropped the program. Now my wife applies study visa for her Master program, can I join her on my older visa or will I have to apply again new visitor visa?
