Dear All,

I had work experience as an Accountant- Billing & payroll for 1.5 years & have been working as a Deputy Manager – HR & admin dept. for last 3.5 years, tht is total 5 years of job experience wef 2004. I m from Business Administration bckground. I hv just registered for my ACCA 1st part.

1. Can I apply under “Financial Auditors and Accountants” as per 38 qualification list of CIC???
2. Even though, my husband is an Engineer with a master’s degree, we can’t apply as he doesn’t qualify under this 38 qulf. list. :(( . Do u think, his qualification may add some value in our application.

Kindly advice. Looking forward to ur ans.

Check with the HRSDC website under NOC 1111 and see if you performs d=those duties. If yes then you can.

As you have experience as an Accountant- Billing & payroll for 1.5 years so as long as your job descriptons is reflecting with NOC 1111 (Financial Auditors and Accountants) then you can apply under this NOC.

Your husband's qualification support your application (as adaptibility) and gives you 4-5 points depends on his years of education, if it's recognized.

Check HRSDC website to see the main duties of an accountant and if you have been doing any of the responsibilities and duties then you certainly qualify- however you will have to prove it as well.

You would get 5 points for adaptibility for your husband's master degree.
