Hi All,

I would really appreciate if someone can please help me out with below mentioned queries as its been a over a year that I am in Canada on Study Permit and my wife is back in India....

1. I have applied for "Spousal Open Work permit" for my Wife back in January which was denied in the beginning of February, So what are the chances of her getting the TRV, I really want her to be here for our Marriage Anniversary.

2. She has around $14,000 CAD in her account as a Proof for Financial Stability, is that enough???

3. She is working with a Multinational Company (US Based) as a Specialist....

4. Got a property on her name, However the Notary is in Hindi, Shall I get the same translated into English?

5. I want her to be here for a month, so getting the tickets booked accordingly.

6. She ha a valid B1/B2 US Visa and has traveled to US for 2 months in the past, Will that be of any help????

7. Applying online or through VFS, Which is Better?????

8. I am also working part time here in Toronto, Canada, Please suggest if sharing the Pay Subs will be of any help as it is just $1000 CAD a month on an average.

Anyone has a knowledge and replying will be of a great help.

Appreciate your help in advance...

Hi GaryForu1,

I saw your profile quite strong, could you pls tell us the reason why your spouse open work permit to be rejected. As you know, if you wife have TRV, then she can do open work permit after landing to Canada, so I think it is the same between visitor TRV and spouse open work permit, if home ties is not strong enough they will reject both.

I think you need to know the reason visa rejection and fix the problem

Tks, Thang

Hi Sonata95,

First of all thanks for the reply, As I mentioned in my Post that she has not been granted the Spousal Open Work Permit, that is why I am applying for TRV and once she is here I will be get the TRV converted into SOWP....

I was just wondering what are the chances of her getting the TRV on the basis the of the Profile I have shared.

Or do I need to add some more documents to make the profile stronger???

Appreciate your help guys, and thanks in advance.

What documents were submitted? What was the reason for refusal?

Hi Jalex,

I have shared all the Financial Docs, Proof Of Income, SOP, Property Papers, My Study Permit, Visa.

Every thing was submitted however It was rejected basis that they wanted my Wife to get a job first in Canada and her employer to apply for the Open Work Permit, wherein I applied for a Spousal Open Work Permit which is allowed for every international student and doesn't need any letter from the Employer....

Hi ,

My name is Chhaya and i work for a private company in new delhi, India since year 2011. I recently got married in january 2014 and my spouse currently holds a post graduate work permit visa valid until 2017 and is a an IT professional- server administrator which comes under skill level a, b, c and I have travelled to canada on a TRV visa and returned bak to join my office. I understand that i may be eligible for an open work permit which takes 4 to 5 months for processing , i would like to know if i can apply for a tourist visa simultaneously and travel on the same until an outcome for open work permit is received if not can i just apply for a tourist visa and lodge the open work permit ( dependent spouse) once i reach calgary, canada as i plan to resign from the job soon but i am concerned -will resigning from the job minimise my chances of getting trv visa even though my spouse holds a work visa till 2017.

Grateful if u can help me with this query at earliest

Thanks in advance

Regards

Chhaya

Hi GaryForu1,

As I said above, your wife profile is quite strong but you only get one problem your wife spouse open work permit rejected in Feb'14. If you have not applied spouse open work permit in Jan'14, I think the chance your wife get TRV is very high. That is the reason that a few advisor need to know the reason of rejection so that they can advise to you.

You need to translate everything into English and apply online is better (my opinion)

Hope your wife can get visa soon and let us know the result.

Hi Chhaya,

My opinion, your profile is quite strong because you already visited Canada and time got married more than 6 months, you just need a strong reason for applying TRV. and then, you can apply spouse open work permit after landing Canada based on your husband PGWP.

You can make a new topic so that more senior expert can advise to you
