About how long after submitting your application approximately do we need to wait before hearing from immigration that they have received our application? I tracked it and it showed that they have received it but I have not heard from them that they received it.

It can be quick or as long as 12 or more weeks. This process as you know is very slow. Especially once your app is transferred to mexico. Due to your history i would expect more scrutiny and definitely an interview. I would plan to be at the interview.
