Ok, so we've done language tests and credential evaluation. We are waiting the results of language test to apply. WHILE WAITING, do I need to be doing anything else to save time? All I do is go online and apply after getting test results??

What is your CRS score? If it is 445+, I'd get police certificates, employment letters and bank letters.

Comprehensive Ranking System formula
Subtotal Core/Human capital + Spouse factors + Skill transferability = 485

Provincial nomination = 0

Job offer = 200

Study in Canada = 0

Sibling in Canada = 0

French-language skills = 15

Subtotal Additional points = 215

Grand total = 700

You will get invitation in the very next draw after you get test results. But the core of the list is common for everyone. So I'd get those documents ready.

That list come after we are invited to apply, correct? Which might take awhile?
I didn't get any list when I was invited to apply. So I pretty much had to figure things out on my own by reading this forum.
Job expensive letters, proof of funds, PCC, Medicals ,ECA, IELTS results are the most essential.
Photo, LOE are others

Does everyone in the family need fingerprinting? My husband is applying with us as dependents.

Only if family members are from countries on which the biometrics requirement is imposed. Check here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/biometrics.asp

Also, do note that there are some exceptions to who has to give biometrics.
For now, inland applicants are temporarily exempted from giving biometrics until further notice, even if they are nationals of those countries.
