Security screening is not that fast; mostly it runs for months!
True but again it depends. The whole thing involves CSIS, CBSA, and IRCC. So it varies depending on the case and the speed of each. If i remember right, legalfalcon mentioned in one of the detailed posts that the average processing time by csis is 60 days. Which means it can take less.

Hi guys, I have a quick question. Does anyone see the following status:

Additional Documents: You additional documents are being reviewed.
Background: We are processing your background check.

I haven't submitted any additional documents though. Not sure what does that mean. Also, can you guys help me to confirm if I am in ip2.

AOR: 22 July
Medical Passed: 28 July
BG: NA > We are processing. We will let you know when we start backgound check : 28 July > Next step background check : 5 August> We are processing your background check : 11 August
Looks like you are in IP2. Did you include a letter of explanation? As that goes under additional documents too.

Planning ahead

As you are now in a possession of a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR), or have been notified to submit your travel documents in preparation for the issuance of a COPR, you are strongly encouraged to obtain free pre-arrival services funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). A variety of online services and in-person sessions are available to you, your spouse and your dependants. These services will help you understand life in Canada, employment and how to access other free settlement services once you arrive. To learn more about free pre-arrival services that you can access before you leave, please visit the IRCC website. Please note that in order to access these services, you must show a copy of this letter to the service provider. In-person orientation sessions are very popular and space is limited. We encourage you to register early to secure a spot in an upcoming session. As you may know, Canada is a bilingual country where both French and English are spoken. If you are interested in living in French, you can get information about Francophone life across Canada by visiting: Canada.ca/francoimmigration. You are encouraged to take advantage of free IRCC resources available online. Welcome to Canada, the official handbook to help permanent residents prepare to come and settle in Canada, is available at cic.gc.ca/publications. You will also find the videos entitled “Before You Arrive in Canada” and “Your First Two Weeks in Canada” on the IRCC YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/CitImmCanada , which provide key information you need to consider before coming to Canada and just after you arrive. The Living in Canada tool, which provides you with a personalised settlement plan and identifies the closest Immigrant-Serving Organization offering the services you need, is available at ..................................and so on.

PS: THIS IS A VALID COMPUTER GENERATED LETTER AND DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY SIGNATURE.

Ohh, yes I did. Now it makes sense. Thanks for that.

Wondering if this "additional doc" section will change any further or will it remain like this until visa label?

I guess I am in this party too. "waiting in IP2"

For some reason, it seems they boosted the speed for new applications and kept the older ones on the side? Thats quite frustrating, really is.
Yes, that's true.
I guess they only care about the <6 months KPI, since we're already late, they take case of better presented case

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Copied from another thread :

Take my example.

1 - I wasted 2 months in Medical since they had less resources or whatever in April. Those dates, medical took 60 days to pass. Now people are passing in a week...so they have fixed that issue.
2 - Once i passed medical and R10, my application sat for 45 days with no movement based on my notes for them to do initial analyst check at CIO. Then they shipped me off to London.
3 - So far, three months has passed and no sign of anything while people after me in Ottawa are getting PPR. In my case, my notes showed that everything is perfect. But since I am in London, and they have less resources, it takes longer time.

4 - Finally another month of rotting and they checked my file, passed the officer review, and issued PPR in 3 days flat.

Technically. it's just a 4 day job. For some people it takes 50 days. For some people it takes 5 months. It just comes down to how fast they get to our files.

Of course, PNP has additional steps like Province verification and of course the dreaded secondary security which isn't in CIC hands since it goes to third parties. I'm talking about a simple easy FSW case with no complications. And I paid RPRF ahead and I don't think it backfires. Anyway..I cant complain. I got my PPR in 136 days which now...looking back..isn't too bad at all since their stated timeline is 180 days.

i'm very confused, the agent yesterday said my file is in rabat, said she doesn"t have full visibility on what's going on there so she can't know when they will send "the letter"... however she said that my file is completed (security , eligibility...) so what do you understand from this ? IP2 since the 8th august, aor 16 june.
