Waiting for PR card

Hello everyone.
I've got approved for Canadian Residentship.
I will enter Canada in August and as I've been informed I have to wait for my PR card.
Can anyone please tell me if I really have to be in Canada all that time or I can leave and my mom will mail me the card when it arrives.
I am an international student in the US and it would be impossible for me to stay 6 or 7 weeks in Canada and miss all classes.

You are not forced to stay in Canada, you can leave immediately after landing if you want.
As long as you use your mom's address when landing so she can receive the PR card for you, she can then courier it to you in the US. Make sure she gets delivery with tracking service, since it's such an important item.
