I had transfered money of 10100 CAD on 11/11/2013. Till now I have not received any certificate.

What should I do? Can I email or call them?

Anyone have same query?

Wait for another 6 to 7 days. You will get it. Most of the people are getting their GIC late nowadays.
 
I transferred the money on same date and I think we should wait till Tuesday at least. Moreover, Saturday and Sunday is a holiday over there, you wont get a response till at least Monday evening.
 
I have transferred funds 10,100 CAD on 6/11/2013 from HDFC. it's been 8 days excluding weekend and I have not received anything in either secure mail or my gmail inbox. Moreover, my account details email in secure email has been automatically deleted.

Really helpless what is to be done here!....deadline for visa is coming closer. Should I send follow-up email or should wait for more 2 days?
 
I just called them now, they said 11th nov. (Monday) was a holiday for them...so its been only 5 working days as of today (Monday, 18th nov.). She said for them to receive wire transfer, it takes 5 working days and another 3 working days to issue the GIC and send the email. She said to call them if we do not receive anything by the end of this week. So we have to wait for this week atleast and call them next Monday.

where did you call? i jst have a words with them and they said we don't have any information regarding GIC.??

dude it took me 21 days to receive GIC (funded on 25th oct)..what u can do now is wait till last week of DECEMBER and till then communicate with the NOVA SCOTIA Bank
u can call on the number +14162883062...a customer care representative will answer ur phone ..then u can talk to that person and tell him ur problem ..if u think this person wont understand ur language or accent tell him to transfer the call to the extension number 63085 and talk to DEVENDRA ..he is an indian so u can tok to him in ur language ..if u dont get it by december last week just go ahead with the swift copy ...and attach a paper explaining that u did not receive ur GIC certificate even after funding it ..thats it u r done ..all da best

I made a call on +1 416 866 6430 to make an inquiry for my GIC but they put me on hold for 15 minutes they told me to email studentgic@scotiabank. Fortunately, before emailing I have received GIC Certificate just now.

ya guys do call them..!! I called them yesterday and just receive my GIC.

on which number did you call? there are multiple numbers...confused as to where should I call?
