As i,m waiting for decision made since medicals were done in august 2103

but today my wife has received a phone call from visa office regarding her pregnancy

as she is 32 week pregnant and we sent updated documents (ultrasound reports,medical certificate, self written letter mentioning the stage of

pregnancy to chc newdelhi about 2 weeks ago through our immigration consultant.

the lady said she is speaking from canadian high commission newdelhi and said they will hold the landing papers by

giving the simple reason that airline won't allow u at this stage of pregnancy to travel and also said as the baby is born, they will send the medicals for

the baby

clearly indicates that we will have to wait

I have submitted my passport and medicals alongwith other asked documents on 30th March 2013. Since then I am waiting.

I am also holding US Business visa and travelled on official trips earlier. Again I have to go to US on a business trip in December 13 but since my passport is with them not sure how I will be able to travel. Also my seniors are not aware that my passport is with canadian embassy and it would be very embarassing for me to say that my passport is with canadian embassy and I cant travel.

If anybody can suggest what to do for faster processing. Thanks

Like GDS, even I need to travel to the US in jan, so I wrote a mail to ndvo and this is the reply I got.

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

We acknowledge that our office has received your original passport(s) for this application.

This file is currently pending review by the responsible processing team and a decision by the officer. As soon as that review has taken place, our office will contact the applicants if any further documentation or information is required.


Please note that all statutory requirements must be met before we can issue visas. We therefore cannot provide you with a precise date by which this application will be finalized and the passports returned. Your continued patience is appreciated. Rest assured that we give the highest processing priority to cases which are ready for visa issuance for which passports have been submitted. Until we contact the applicant or authorized representative, either to request additional documents or information or to return the passports, we will not be able to respond to further enquiries.

Our only fault is applying in 2010 and/or going for medicals in start of 2013. Had we applied now or went for medicals after Sep'13 this agonising wait wouldnt be there!!!

But yes, this is not the end of it. We will hear back very soon, let us not lose the hope! All this trying and pain will not end in nothing. It has to have a happy ending........there it is, coming our way!!!
